You know the disease, Lupus? What if you were to inject someone with HIV/AIDS with the blood of someone Lupus positive? Would they balance each other out?

Just wondering.

And if not, why?

and if yes...YAY!!!

  1. Sounds kind of weird.

  2. You certainly can't believe that a bunch of laymen can just sit around and say "Hey, how about this!" and come up with a cure for AIDS, so I have to assume that you are a biochemist or an immunologist.  So help me understand what you are proposing.

Why would adding a disease that causes problems with your immune system cure someone of a disease that was a problem with their immune system?   Is there something about the immune response to one that would somehow build up the immune response to the other?

And I always thought that Lupus was diagnosed through a group of symptoms and/or by process of elimination.  Is there a test for it now?

Help me to understand what you are proposing.   Thanks.

  3. Well if it cures animals...why wouldn't it cure humans...besides we are animals also...

  4. HOUSTON -- There is real hope that what’s happening in a Houston lab might lead to a cure for HIV.

“We have found an innovative way to kill the virus by finding this small region of HIV that is unchangeable,” Dr. Sudhir Paul of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston said.

Dr. Paul and Dr. Miguel Escobar aren’t talking about just suppressing HIV – they’re talking about destroying it permanently by arming the immune system with a new weapon lab tests have shown to be effective.

Ford Stuart has been HIV positive for 15 years. He’s on a powerful drug cocktail that keeps the disease in check

  5. Are you talking about what they have discovered at The University of Texas? It has cured animal subjects.  Now they have to try it on human subjects to see the outcome.
