Question:

Could this ever work? What should I do?

I'm a female who is questioning their gender. I'm still learning about T and ftm and all that, so I haven't started anything yet. However, I'm quite sure that in time I will do the therapy and hormones and everything to become ftm trans. I am interested in men for relationships. The problem is this...my best mate is a g*y male. I'm totally and completely in love with him, which he knows. He told me that he's in love with me too, but we can never be together. He says it goes against everything he has ever thought he is, everything he has defined himself as. I don't know what to do. I want to keep him as my mate, but I feel like we are missing out on something amazing because he won't take the chance. What should I do? Do you think this could ever work, or am I being stupid? Thank you for reading and hopefully answering!

  1. You can lose him as a friend if you don't chill.

You may think of yourself as a boy, and maybe you will be one later, but right now, when you are naked, its all girly down there and --at least I could never go there.... it would freak me out.

  2. im sorry, but i dont think its gonna work. he is g*y, and as per my knowledge, they dont change no matter what. they know wht they want. i am just wondering, how can he say he loves you. i guess he just loves you as a person you are.

  3. I think you both are trapped in the ideas of what you think you have to be.  Too bad or you would be able to have a relationship with the person you really love (each other) without having all this confusion.

  4. I don't think it will work romantically but keep him as your friend.
