Hi, i am 15 weeks preg, almost 16, and I have been worried ever since i got back from the hospital on Friday (even though they said everything including baby's heartbeat was perfect and fine) but the other day I found two teeny tiny pieces of what I thought was light light light pink tissue, but I am not sure because i have been having non smooth discharge from a yeast infection that is slowly going away with boric acid, but I am not sure if the specks were tissue paper or if they were discharge or tissue, but i was nervous so i think maybe i imagined it being light light light pink (it was really just white and seemed a bit off to me)...but i have always been nervous...

But anyways, my question is what exactly does late miscarriage tissue look like??? I need to know. my next doc apt isnt until the second and I am not going back to hosp since i was just there Friday...unless i have to

  1. Don't worry. If you had or are having a miscarriage you would know if it happened. You would be having cramps and bleeding to the point where you need a pad.

If you think you are indeed having a miscarriage, call your doctor or go right away to the Emergency Room.

    Good Luck and Congratulations!

  2. if you had a late miscarriage you would be passing a lot of blood, tissue, and your baby. I know its normal to freak out over any sign of blood, but it sounds harmless to me.

  3. if you had a miscarriage at 15 (which is very unlikely) im sure there would be a lot of blood.  if this is your first pregnancy... every little thing that happens scary.  i think if my husband would have let me i would have been at the ER everyday of my first pregnancy.... i was always like i haven't felt her move, or it hurts in my stomach, or oops i ate that is it going to effect her?  it's ok.  you and your baby are fine.  now if you see blood go to the hospital.  good luck!!!

  4. It could be that your labia and v****a are irritated from the yeast infection.  That would cause a teeny tiny amount of blood to mix with your discharge causing the pink color.  (This has happened to me after intercourse TMI I know but it can also irritate your v****a)

I agree with the others.  A miscarriage at this point would be major bleeding, tissue, and the fetus.

  5. I know how scary it is to see any amount of blood while you're pregnant. With my second child I had a lot of bright red blood and she is 3 now. It turns out it was only my cervix bleeding. Some people bruise easier or get nose bleeds...My cervix bleeds :) If you see something that is only pink and so small I would really think you're OK. If you're worried call your doctor. You will feel better after professional reassurance. Miscarriage is a very painful thing. It is accompanied by a lot of pain from your uterus contracting to dispel the baby and also a lot of blood. If you were having a miscarriage you would know it.

    Good luck.
