  1. It won't kill a baby, but I don't think it's necessarily a good thing, either.  (Something about the blockage of bacteria...?)  The implantation spotting is very minimal, and wouldn't warrant a tampon.  I would suggest using a pad just to be safe, if it is indeed implantation spotting.  I know when I had spotting during pregnancy, my doc always told me to use a pad.  Might also be preventative; you DEFINITELY don't want to have a tampon in if you are miscarrying... (heaven forbid.)  Good luck!

  2. A tampon will have no effect on the baby.

  3. No, a tampon will not harm you or the baby as long as you change it as directed. And as soon as you find out you're pregnant you stop using them. Tampons always have a risk of TSS, but if you change them frequently and use them little as possible (IE: stop using them as soon as you find out) there is no reason to worry.

Also, if you're having a miscarriage. Using a tampon would be useless, as you'd be changing them constantly, and it wouldn't help the clots and tissue pass. (This is what my doctor told me when I was having a miscarriage)

ADD: By looking at your screen name I thought I'd add a bit more advice. Cats carry a disease called toxoplasmosis, that being said. If you've lived with cats for years you're probably immune to it. But please have someone else change the litter box and if you get scratched by a cat clean the scratch with alcohol and keep it clean. If you garden wear gloves in the event that a cat has used the garden for a restroom, also wash fruits and veggies thoroughly, especially those from your garden. Not trying to sound paranoid, just giving you some advice.

    Good luck!!

  4. nope, no effect at all.
