My son has been suffering with bad tummy pains for a good few months now, making him sick and unable to eat etc eventually the doctors think it may be bowel spasms, they have refered him to the hospital but in the mean time have prescribed MEBEVERINE to take before meals which does seem to be helping, though 2 days after he started taking it he started saying his right eye wasn't working properly, the doctor said it was fine though it didnt look straight to me so i took him to the opticians who says he is long sighted and has been prescribed glasses, he has never had any problems with his sight before, could it be linked to the medicine? ( It is not mentioned in the side effects) i have even looked back on photos and his eyes have always been fine.

  1. All drugs given out have side effect which affect other parts of our body.

Maybe you should take your son to see another doctor or maybe an optician, to get yourself some reassurance.

Good luck and I hope your little boy gets better soon.

  2. The drug can cause blurred vision, but should not affect visual acuity or accommodation.

  3. I heard it can cause blurred vision. But it shouldn't affect, maybe get back to your doctor and see if there's any other drugs with no side affects he could have.
