Question:

Could this prove weather global warming is man made or not?

We can make a whole experiment where in a safety glass box, about the size of a bedroom containing the earth with all the factors which take place and the sun plus its current activity level. We'll have to suck out most of the air, and basically start an artificial earth and sun. We will have to do some proportion formula to compare everything by size from this planet to a little rock.

The artificial earth will have to have volcanos, water vapor, the 6 thousand degrees core (magma or lava, I forget), ect.

WILL THIS WORK?

IS THIS POSSIBLE?

  1. plus the space around the earth is freezing.

  2. I would really wish that global warming is not part of man's work, but sad to say, global warming is what men has done!It is caused by the increase of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide[co2] and methane[cow gas].Ice in artic will starts to melt and the water level will rise increasingly.Crabon dioxide increases because of some of men's activitiies like switching on the air-con,as air-conditioning gives out carbon dioxide, the more you switch it on,the carbon dioxide will increase. The maximum temperature should be around 25 degree.

    ;)

  3. Creative idea, but no.

The problem is you can't recreate the atmosphere on that scale.  You can't make a tiny Earth and have its' gravity hold on to a very thin layer of an atmosphere.  Thermal motion and the real gravity of the Earth would pull it away.

Note that most all scientists consider this a proven fact already.  And that volcanoes, water vapor, and heat from the core can't possibly be causing the warming we've observed.  It's scientifically impossible.

There are reasons why most all scientists say this is mostly caused by us, and it's not some giant conspiracy.

  4. I would love for it to work. However, humans have never achieved 6000 degrees, Fahrenheit or Celsius. Otherwise we'd probably be melting diamonds and rearranging its shape, instead of cutting diamonds from huge lumps. I must say that's not the first time someone would try that, but studies have shown that throughout the years, the more cars became more necessary and more electricity was used, the more global warming increased. But then there's the ice age theory, which states that it's normal and an ice age, which has had a pattern, will blow it all out.

  5. How will you get an atmosphere of air around the rock without using an object massive enough to have the gravitational attractiveness necessary to get air to surround the globe?

PS- You meant to write "prove whether"; "weather" is only used when talking about the climate. (Unless, it was some elaborate pun that I didn't get at first. But, frankly, you just don't seem smart enough to pull that off. Sorry.)

  6. For every scientist that blames human beings for "Global Warming" there are two that disagree!   Scientists who disagree with the "politically correct"  assumption that humans are the cause of Global Warming are not well represented in the liberal press.

Will your little sample environment work - probably not with any accuracy unless the point you are trying to push is that Global Warming is the fault of human beings!     Our "EARTH" has undergone thousands of Global Warmings in our past - not a single one was caused by humans!  If there were no human beings at all on earth Global Warming would still take place!

To add greater accuracy to your little experiment you would have to include some sample businesses like G.E. who stand to make billions of dollars off environmental problems real or imagined!   Al Gore has already made over 100 million dollars selling "Ponzi Scheme" carbon footprint exchanges!

Mars is presently undergoing a "Global Warming" transformation and there are no humans on that planet - Mars is a better test vehicle!

  8. Someone said this already, but you would not be able to emulate the gravity conditions. Assuming you could somehow negate the real earth's immense gravity, you would still have a problem because the molten core of earth has immense pressure, which wouldnt exist/be to scale in your small, and therefore low pressure, model.

  9. No, you can't simulate the whole planet on such a small scale for many reasons.

You know what we should do is run an Earth simulation on a supercomputer.  Oh wait, the already do that, and it supports the AGW theory!

  10. I don't know if it is possible, but if it was, it would prove global warming to be true. Here is another model to consider, a car is placed inside of a green house full of plants, and the engine is turned on. All the plants will naturally die, right? True, it is a mini model of what is to come for our earth!

    Best wishes,

    Lily K

  11. What we have is a question of the possible to resolve before we can ask whether it would prove something.

It is not possible to establish the test box you describe.

If it were possible, it would not prove anything within a hundred or more years. Even within a thousand year experiment I would expect no greater consensus would be reached as a result of the test box. We would still be arguing about whether the test box adequately models the real thing.
