I'm 19 years old and my boyfriend and I have been together for a year now. Last night we got into a argument because i caught him looking at his ex myspace page. So I hit him on the back of the head (I know this was wrong but i was mad) and he tried to fight me. He didn't hit me as hard as he could have but he did hit me. We joke around all the time hitting each other but last night he took it to far. I just don't want to be one of those stupid people who marry a abusive person.

  1. It has already turned physically abusive...you both have to talk about what happened and promise to not let it happen again by either one of you....

Normally i would say, Hey if a guy hit then automatically its wrong..but when someone hits you in the head ..a normal reaction would be to strike... If it was a punch with force then Yeah i would say RUN....he will knock you out one day ..but if it was a smack then just work it out and make sure it doesnt happen again.  But bottom line is how you feel after the hit.....if it feels like it may get worse then get out now....

  2. Then get out of the relationship now.  You shouldn't have hit him last night, it wasn't right but you know that.  He shouldn't have hit you no matter what.  It seems to me that he is still interested in his ex so no matter what for many reasons get rid of him now before you get hurt.  Either he leaves you or hurts you physically.

  3. if you feel last night he took it too far. thats it, your better off leaving him behind. over time that same situation can turn so much worse.
