ok, so leasing for the summer is way to expensive for my budget. but i think i may have devised up a good plan. so i was thinking i would pay for a lesson each week (40$) to get practiced for barrels.(on a way experienced horse) then i figure i will have worked on my skills enough that i will buy whatever tack i need. what do i all need for barrels tack? please list the product name and what it does please. i know i won't need a tie down for her though. then i figure i can lease her for competition day. (idk how much money that would be.) would this work? i figure the lessons per week would work because i still have 10 months till i would compete during next summer? would this be enough practice for myself and i horse i plan to use?

  2. All you really need is a saddle and a bridle.

    Nothing fancy needed.

The lesson plan is great, and seems reasonable.

If you need any tips you can ask me.

    Good luck!

  3. Hi there,

Sounds like a mighty fine plan to me.  Just be sure you can lease the horse for races out a head of time with no problems.

Although I have a few questions:

How will you get the horse to the races/competitions?

    Do you have a trailer?

Can you lease one with the horse?

Do you have a truck to pull a trailer?

Any way the tack you will need:

    A halter

    A lead rope

(I hope you know what these two are used for.)^^^
