Could traveling through parallel universe be the same as traveling through time?

The people went to about 5 other of their parallel universe, each one's time line is different. later they found out they are ahead of their own time line.

  1. I guess I don't understand your question...

    Try:  If one theory is correct, and there's a universe for *every* possible variation, then one of the variations possible is that *time* would have started, say, a year later.  Or 5 years later. Or a million.  So, traveling *to* another universe could be like traveling back in time.... but - it's only a theory.  


  2. The "Many Worlds" theory of quantum mechanics allows for vast numbers of parallel universes, but not for time travel.  Time travel (into the past of your own Universe) results in causal paradoxes.

    There are, however, "parallel universe" theories that do allow for time travel between "your" universe and the past of a very similar, but not identical other universe.
