what type of errors might result in such postmortem studies?how might we determine more clearly the possibility that a patient had suffered a myocardial infarction in biochemical terms?

  1. It may be difficult to extract enough uncoagulated serum to get a test for troponin levels. If it was massive infarction, you may be able to see loss of perfusion in cardiac muscle histologically. Low temperatures would decrease enzyme degradation.
