Could using subitramine pills ( minimize apetite) affect a pregnancy, i am about 20 lbs overweight and dont?

want to gain much weight if i get pregnant. I have varicose veins,ect...i am going to be eating healthy...just less.

there are other names for these pills ex mesura, reductil,ect....any info would be apreciated

No. They are not safe. Besides, your baby needs lots of nutrition from food. You should talk with your doctor if you are concerned about your weight. You shouln't try to lose weight during pregnancy, but if you are overweight you should definitely be careful not to gain too much. Unless you are breast-feeding, you will be able to after s/he is delivered.

i hate to tell you, but anything that is consumed during pregnancy is shared by the baby,, try to just eat right and exercise,, and you ll hopefully not have any worries,,  the srtech marks are par for the course,,use lotion,,coco butter ,, but dont pop weight pills,,, snack healthy...

YES, those medications can have negative affects on the fetus and are counterproductive to your overall health during pregnancy. STOP TAKING THEM. Regarless of your weight, do not try to lose any weight by any other means other than excerise while pregnant. Do ONLY low impact exercise such as walking, swimming, or bike riding. Do not diet! Eat a balanced diet and do not ignore thirst or hunger. Be sure to take a prenatal vitamin every day. Consult a physician about your weight concern. Regarless of your weight now, you will gain weight while pregnant because our bodies produce 40% more blook by the end of the pregnancy, and then you have the weight of breast milk, the placenta, the baby, and extra water. Those medications are bad news for pregnancy!!! You must eat sufficient protein and iron rich foods while pregnant. Do not try to diet in any way other than avoiding junk food and binge eating.
