Could we save energy by adding or removing days from the calendar year? If so how would that work?

Could we save energy by adding OR removing days from the calendar year? If so how would that work? I've mentioned adding days to someone once and they said we would use more energy..

I'm not sure but i think that if 1 country changed they would all have 2 which i don't think would go over 2 well. And i don't even think 1 can change because there would be alot of people that would protest or just couldn't get used 2 a change causing some hysteria also there would be another Y2K but maybe worse because I'm not sure if u can change how long a year is 2 a computer. u would think that they can now.

I don't think it would matter too much because it'd still be the same days in reality.  Maybe if they changed the Daylight Savings time.
