Could we use headphones for an alternative source of energy?

you know how every time you put your headphones into your pocket, they come out all tangled and stuff, no matter how neat they were before? could we tap the secret energy involved in tangling them to power our houses??? :-D

The tangling energy is actually sapped from your walking around with them in your pocket, and although it can't power a house, people with tapped walking energy [via regenerative braking or just by resisting the walking motion] to generate tiny bits and bytes of electricity.

Scientists have still not completely overcome the "Static Cling Phenomena."  This phenomena still sucks the energy from everything and drives me nuts during the winter, even though, I use fabric softener.  Lead lined pockets cause other problems.
