Question:

Could working out cause one to have low white cell counts?

I have been working out hard for the past month. I have been taking creatine, L-glutamine, and protein shakes. Since I was eating healthily, I did not take multi-vitamin.

But as a result of a regular check-up, I have been told I have low white cell count in my blood. The doctor wants me to retake the test in 2 weeks.

Could any of the mentioned factors (namely working out, creatine, L-glutamine) cause low white cell count?

Thanks!

  1. stop taking the creatine immediatly!

cheaper brands of this supplement can cause liver failure, heart problems etc...

i suggest you go back to your doctors and get your liver checked out to be safe

dont brush this off, i know 2 men this has happened too, one is still being tested and the other now has liver issues (due to the creatine)

[Protein is okay so its glutamine, excess of protein (rare) can also cause organ problems but your first indication of that is bad odor from your skin, people on Akins are at a high risk of this.]
