Could you be friends with your ex?

Ok, me and my ex were really good friends before we went out. We ended up going out for almost 6 months with a short break up that lasted 2 days. This summer he broke up with me but I wasn't mad or angry cause i was thinking about it myself. So now were friends and my friends don't understand how me and him can be good friends after such a long relationship. Are they right or am i just a really nice ex girlfriend??

I think its fine that you and your ex can be friends after a long relationship.  But as long as you are ok with being friends and he is too, that's all that matters.  Enjoy it and don't let others influence your decision.

I can't be friends with my ex, but I think it depends on the situation.  For me its all or nothing, because for me being just friends with him would be too d**n painful.  Maybe you're just ultra nice?
