  1. As long as you properly defrost it first.  A good way to do that is to put it in a bowl of hot water (but not boiling) for 10 minutes - pat it dry and it is good to go.  Just make sure you feel up under the ribs to make sure that it is warm all the way through. (Do not use the microwave)

If you just give the BP the mouse frozen he probably won't even take it, but if he does it will probably cause a regurg because it will rot in his stomach because he won't be able to properly digest it.

  2. If you mean frozen THAWED mice, then yes. They must be warmed to slightly above room temperature.

Feeding live can cause problems, mainly the rodent injuring the snake.

  3. A friend of mine fed their ball python frozen mice and i fed my cornsnake frozen mice too. Depending on the size of the snake, you should feed it different sizes. The smallest being baby mice called pinkys (due to their pink skin and lack of hair).

After those (they lasted me a couple of years) the next size up have hair but again, are small. If you're not sure which to use though, take your snake to a local reptile shop and ask them for advice.

    Hope that helps :)

  4. yeah feeding frozen mice/rats is alot better than live due to dead prey not being able to cause injury to your snake. frozen is also less hassle than live as cheaper and can keep them in bulk in a freezer, and they dont need feeding. obviously you have to defrost the food before feeding. i do this by leaving the food in a cup of warm water for 15-20 minutes. dry the food off and maybe giv a quick going over with a hairdryer if your ball is not taking to it and try again. feed with feeding tongues not your fingers as snakes vision is not good and there is a chance that it could miss and catch your fingers! if it is a hatchling a hatchling should be started on fluffs (mice that have just started growing hair next size up from pinky mice) once every week. maybe a rat pup, feed an appropiate sized prey no bigger than the widest part of your snakes body once a week. hope this helped

  5. no you must defrost the mice.this is a very dangerous reptile the grow very big and tern vi lad. they bite visually.  be careful

  6. I hope you mean pre killed mice that have been frozen and you have defrosted them??  Do not feed any snake, not just a ball, anything frozen.  Make sure it is fully defrosted first as you would with anything you eat and cook.

I like the idea the person above has given me.  I always dry my mice with a paper towel, but, what an ingenius idea to put them in a bag and not need to dry them at all!  Well done, sir.

  7. You have to defrost them first.  I put my mouse in a zip-lock bag, squeeze the air out and put it in a jar of warm water.
