Could you get hiv or an std from borrowing a prono i.3 mag dvd?

i know this is such a random question, but just having a discussion with few mates, if someone had hiv and you borrowed a porno dvd they had, took it home so say had it for 24hours before watching it, then done you busy. (masturbated). could you get hiv or a std??? Please no stupid answers its just a general question which we all got different opinions about. Thanks in advance

No, you can't get HIV from a DVD. Other ways you can't get it:

-Eye contact

-Waving at someone

-Wearing someone's sweater

-Watching "Dora the Explorer"

-Answering questions on Yahoo Answers

The odds are low of acquiring an STD from a "used" video.  HIV, and other viral STDs, die very quickly when exposed to oxygen.  Bacterial STDs can be transmitted, although the risk is very low.  These include chlamydia (the clap) or syphilis.  There generally needs to be "matter" or "chunks" on the disk for the bacteria to hide in.  But they will starve and die in several days.

So, overall, the risk is essentially negligible.

generally not. HIV does not last long in the open air - and STD's usually are as well. If your'e that concerned, wash it first.

I'm hoping that this is a joke, as I would be very disappointed to find out that evolution left behind such mentally dim people.  NO, you can not get an std from a dvd.
