I don't have B.A or B.S, have High School Diploma.

I don't have citizenship, have Green Card.

Now, I'm planning to serve enlisted man at Navy or Air Force.

Which job is good to become an Officer?

Which job is good to study college program?

Which Military Service is "easier" to become an Officer? (Navy or Air force)

What should I prepare from enlisted man to Pilot Officer?

Could you help me?

  1. It will be a long road if you are doing it that way at least here in the U.S. but the Army sounds better for you, here you can be a warrant officer and fly helicopters and all you have to have is your high school diploma

  2. 1.  You'll need to get your BA or BS

    2.  You'll need your citizenship

3 & 4  Any job... you have have to work at it and prove yourself worthy of an OCS slot

    5.  Neither... both demand a lot of the guys who want to go from enlisted to officer.

    6.  Work hard, get your degree, get your citizenship.  Personally, in the AF, I don't know any guys that have made the jump from enlisted to officer and been picked for pilot training.  Lots of other career fields, but not pilots.

  3. I want to be a RAAF pilot to! You need to be more fit to join the Navy than the Airforce. For the Airforce you need to have a fitness of 6.5 in the fitness test (forgot what was called) and for the Navy 7.? to be accepted. This is for the Airforce you get a medical, health and fitness test to be accepted so dont get sick or hurt yourself. In your HSC you need to have passed maths and english (tertiary level) and two science subjects. Your minimum fitness level is 6.5 but i recommend that you try to get as high as you can, g-forces can be tough and it'll help in the navy. good luck i hope this web helps look around. Oh and you need to get citizenship. good luck maybe i'll see you in 2013 around the time i'll be in training. http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/education/...

    P:s :pilot have a minimum of 163cm-193cm

    and RAAF is cool

  4. The main issue will be citizenship.  As a legal resident, you can apply for citizenship through the Navy or Air Force once you are enlisted, they can help you and sometimes speed the process along for citizenship.  Until you are a citizen, most aviation rates (enlisted) and naval aviator (officer) selection will be off-limits to you.

You need to have a bachelor's degree.  Depending on what officer program you are selected for, the military may pay for this also.  But it is required for commissioning.

Any enlisted rate is good; the military pulls officers from all of its rates.  In college, do something you can do well at... but if you have the talent for it and want to be a pilot, you might consider an engineering track (specifically aeronautical engineering, aviation management, etc are good).

It's a similar process to become an officer in the Navy or AF, neither is particularly "easier"...
