  1. just keep mosturising with after sun this will make it less painful and also stop it from peeling, avoid a hot bath as it stings like h**l, j

  2. Awww poor guy - we all learn the hard way!

Aloe Vera is the best remedy - you can pick up Aloe Vera from health shops, although most chemists stock moisturisers or After-Sun creams with Aloe Vera in them as well.  I would recommend he put this on his legs and reapply as often as he can.  It's going to hurt and it's going to peel, but this should ease the burning a little.

Something like this would be perfect: http://www.thinknatural.com/products/800...

Good luck to your son... hope he slaps on the sunscreen from now on!

  3. try aloe but if you dont have i used a face wosh that contained aloe and it helped. Yogurt also works if you rub it all over the sunburn.

  4. calamine lotion from the chemist... my mom swore by the stuff when i was a kid and it worked. the only thing is your little boy's legs will turn white! which is what it does, but yeah it takes away the burning.

that stuff is designed for things like sunburn (and chicken pox!)

  5. ahh i went to florida and i got sun poisening on my forehead and my face was all swollen.

we called walgreens and they said to put hydrogyn proxcide on it 3 times a day, followed up with aloe vera with lidocaine.

the swelling was down that night and the burn was gone in like 2 days.

  6. Silvadine cream is most highly recommended in this matter, keep it dry and clean, covered up and change the bandages every day until it heals. If there are blisters involved do the same thing only you ll need to add antibiotics to the treatment.

  7. Im a red head and when i burn bad i always use milk, it takes the heat and the sting out of it, my mum n gran and family before them used it, and believe me it does work

  8. after sun

bath in lavender bubble must have lavender oil in it and chuck some bicab of soda in too

  9. Sunburn Treatment

if a baby or small child has been sunburnt, or if blisters, a rash, or fever occur, seek medical advice from your GP, an NHS Walk-in centre, or by phoning NHS Direct on 0845 4647.

Avoid direct sunlight by covering up and staying in the shade, until the sunburn has healed.

Cool the skin by sponging it with tepid (lukewarm) water or having a cool shower or bath.

Drink plenty of fluids to replace the water lost through sweating in the sun, and to cool down. Do not drink alcohol because it will dehydrate you further.

For mild sunburn, apply a moisturising lotion or a special aftersun cream from a pharmacy. Aftersun helps to cool the skin as well as moisturising and relieving the feeling of tightness. Calamine lotion can also be used to relieve itching and soreness.

  10. First get in a cool/cold bath to take the heat out of it and keep bathing any blisters with cool water. Aloe Vera gel if he can get it is really good but sounds like its too late for that. He needs to drink a lot of water not alcohol too. He will be dehydrated if he is burnt that much.

Whatever he does he MUST NOT burst the blisters and must keep the affected areas covered for the rest of the holiday.

Lastly listen to his Mum before he goes away again - the daft sod LOL   Whose son is he Deano? hmm???

  11. Use moisturizing on the sunburn at night and give natural remedy yogurt

of greece they relieve pain and stop flaking it doesnt itch and also takes away the sunburn

  12. Tell him to buy natural live yoghurt and smear it on cold.

    Old remedy from Greece.

Oh and drink plenty of water.

  13. Warm bath with vinegar in it, takes the sting out of the skin.

    Good Luck. X :-)

  14. Vinegar cuts the sting, rinse off and apply an aloe vera after sun product.  He'll be better in a day or so.

  15. Aloe Vera Gel is the best thing for sunburn, very cool and soothing.

Tell him to buy the highest factor lotion possible and cover his legs in it for the remainder of the holiday!

  16. NOXEMA cold cream - if you put it on now by tomorrow he won't be in pain anymore - he will be able to feel the cooling as you put it on him.

The Wal-Mart brand works just as well - never found anything that works better - put it on today then have him take a cool bath to wash it off then put it on again before he goes to bed and he will wake up fine with no pain and the sunburn should clear up in a day or two.
