  1. Yes, as long as everyone else gave it up too.  But if it were unilateral (only me), I'd go nuts.

  2. no!

  3. I want to. Individuals would then be able to be true to themselves and not hidden by a phone or computer in order to express their feelings. People are not able to be true to themselves cause the don't have to any more, there phone does it or their fake myspace account, etc. I feel people should be able to express who they are in person, to show their true selves. And its also really sickening when people have to break up over msn or text messaging. Lets get a life.

  4. i am 16 and i really feel like life would be nicer and easier with out cell phones and internet. i wish we could all just play outside until it is too dark, in this day that is just too much to ask.

  5. In a heartbeat......I can still hollar across the neighborhood......they hear me anyway when the "bars are weak"......

  6. Yes!! Please!!

  7. Been there, done that. Wont' do it again. My life is so much better with these things. It is called progress to make life better for society.

  8. Yeah...lived without it once can do it again.

In fact...cell phones..can do without them entirely. Ppl are stupid over them.

  9. Well both come in handy. With the internet you can do online billing and searches for things and contact people all over the world and buy things online that you couldn't/can't buy in real life. With online billing and email and such, you spend less money on stamps and postage that are getting pretty expensive... And it can make long distance relationship easier I hear, and helps you keep in touch with friends who have moved away and like I also said, it helps/lets you meet new people from all over the world. Cell phones let you have the ability to contact anyone anywhere. That can come in handy if your young and by yourself and such and also helps to keep in contact with people.

Although there are many bad things about cell phone and the internet as well. Like kids take them both for granted and can get very lazy and there is the added risk of online predators and parents not know what the h**l the kids are up to. Having cyber s*x, watching p**n, putting p**n pictures of themselves up, etc. Who knows that kind of people one can meet online or all over the world really? And like I also said, kids take them for granted and are very lazy about it. They uses texts instead of actually talking to anyone, they use shorthand, such as 'u' instead of 'you', instead of real words and expanding their vocabulary. People and things on the internet can be a big and bad influence as well. And the computer itself is harmful to you and your health. And once again, I cannot stress this enough, but kids take them for granted! They don't even realize and most don't even know you have to pay for the internet. And why? Because it's a privilege. Privilege that should not be extended to some. And it's also very risky for things like identity theft.

For the internet it's a lose/win, win/lose situation. For cell phones though, I would say they are a win/win situation. As long as they are not taken for granted. Not too long ago when cell phones first came out they WERE used for emergencies ONLY. Now they have all of these bells and whistles to them and so it shouldn't surprise anyone when they are taken for granted, cell phones. I could give them both up I think.
