If some one burned some one's ear on a stove eye, what would happen to the person. Would they go to the hospital? For how long? Would they go deaf in that ear?

  1. That would depend entirely on the severity of the burn. Minor burns would not require hospitalization and the person would not go deaf. If the burn was moderate, hospitalization would probably not be required but certainly a doctor's visit would be in order. Deafness would depend on what was burned: the outer ear, the inner ear, the ear canal opening. Unless the structures of the inner ear were damaged or the ear canal closed up by scar tissue, deafness would not occur. If the burn were severe, hospitalization would be needed and probably damage would be done to the inner ear, in which case deafness would be likely.
