If so, I found the following:

Real name:  George Fisher, b. 7/2/1927 in New York City

Parents:  Father:  Sonnie Fisher (occupation sailor) and; Mother; Alma Norford (occupation seamstress).

He is of African American and West Indian descent.

His mother, Alma Norford was born abt. 1895 in Bermuda (or St. Kett) and was a British Citizen.  She immigrated to the U.S. on Jan. 30, 1915.
