The question is this: If it were possible for you to drive to the center of the Earth at a constant rate of 60 miles per hour how many hours would it take to reach the center of the earth? I dont understand how to approach this problem. The choices are 39, 54, 66 and 170 hours. Thanks in advance

  1. Take however far it is to the center of the earth (in miles) and divide it by how fast you are going (60). that will give you the number of hours.

    Care to return the favor?

  2. Just find out how many miles it is to the center of the Earth. I'm assuming that by "center" you mean the inner core, which I think is 5100 kilometers from the Earth's surface.  So, convert km to miles, then divide that by 60 and you will have the answer!

Please don't take my word for it, though; I'm not entirely sure!  You can check the distance at the source link.
