Is it a passive sentence? Please explain why it is or not a passive sentence..

  1. I would definitely describe the sentence as "passive voice" (active would be more toward using the word "close" as a verb). In this case I would also describe "closed" as a description of "window" therefore its function would be adjective.


  2. In this sentence it's an adjective because it's describing the window.  It's passive because there's no action involved.

    If the sentence were "I closed the window," it's a verb because it's describing an action, therefore is an active sentence.
