Could you help to identify this green stone?

I have this fits in your palm-sized stone. It's primary color is a darker but still pretty light green and it has small but even and noticeable darker green dots on it and they give it texture. It's completely opqeue; there is no transparency to it. It's semi-polished as if done by a river or stream. Not man-made polished if you catch my drift. Hope that's enough information! Sorry I cannot provide a photo.

  1. epidote, olivine, periodote, periodotite, augite are all green

    though i say epidote fits the description the best...


  2. Sounds like petrified palm wood. Never saw it green though it is possible.
