  1. 1) 2/3 n + 6 = 3/4 n

    6 = 1/12 n

    n= 72

    D

    2) x-3 - 2x - 12 = -5

    -x - 15 = -5

    x = -10

    A

    3) 14 + 8m = 14 - 8m

    8m = -8m

    16m = 0

    B

  2. 2/3 x N + 6 = 1/2 x N + 1/4 x N

    common denom :12

    2 * 4/12 x N + 6*12 = 1*6/12 x N + 3/12 x N

    mult by 12 each term

    8n + 72 = 6n +3n

    8n +72= 9n

    72 = n  ===>D

    (x - 3) - 2(x + 6) = -5

    x-3-2x-12=-5

    -1x -15 = -5

    x+15 =5

    x = 5-15 = -10 ==>A

    14 + 8m = 14 - 3m - 5m

    14+8m= 14-8m

    8m = -8m

    16m =  0

    so 0/16 = 0  ==> B
