  1. That is crazy! Some people really have no understanding or respect for the value of money.

    x

  2. No I could not, but then I have common sense and some education. This guy belongs in the same box as Karen Mathews,  -  Thats at least an income of 306.000 per year interest...surely to God, based on his past, that was enough at least until he got used to money....What a moron and what an example to his kid...

  3. No, I really could not! He obviously didn't take the advice of the Lottery financiers and I think he had a lot of help from his "friends"!  If I was lucky enough to win a very large amount, one of the first things I'd do would be to ensure that me and my family were set for life!

  4. What a stupid sod. I suspect he may have hidden his money in some foreign bank and has decided to leave his creditors in the lurch.

  5. He has been a bit of a silly billy and I expect he found "friends" he never knew existed before his win, and I bet they helped him spend it.

  6. No.  Bloody fool.

  7. nothing an ex british soldier does would surprise me

  8. He must be a real nut job. All he had to do was invest in a high interest account and live off the interest. Being so generous will not be repaid by those who benefited from his generosity.

  9. i know i saw that! how did he manage to do that!!?

    Crazy bloke

  10. Man What did he buy?......

OMG OMG - he bought postman pat http://www.independent.co.uk/news/busine...

    :P

  11. madness

  12. I can't even imagine spending £1 million in my lifetime. He sounds like a right waster....

  13. wow that's some spending rate!!what did he do with it all?

  14. I would imagine blowing that amount of money is quite easy.  By the time you've spent 1 million on a house, a fleet of sports cars and luxury holidays, there won't be a lot left.

As the saying goes, a fool and his money are easily parted.

What he should have done is ringfenced half of it for safe investment for a regular income and enjoyed the rest on luxuries or family.

  15. No not at all, Just think you could live of the interest each year.

If i had won that much money i would put some away for my children for when they are older to give them a secure future.

Invest in property. Treat other family members. Buy my self a nice house and that would be it ................... other than a couple of holidays each year.

it really astounds me how some one can spend that kind of money so fast.

  16. I'd like to think I wouldn't but I bet it would be  excellent trying.  If any one as a spare 5 mill let me have it and I'll conduct my own experiment.... I'll post my findings here for you all to see XXXX

  17. No I would not blow 5.1 million pounds. I would invest most of the money in good solid investments and live off the dividends. I would also buy myself a modest house in an area with dark skies at night. I would also buy a Ritchie-Chretien telescope and put it in a dome for viewing and astrophotography. Some people are foolish and waste their money.

  18. i dont think i would know what to do with so much money, i certainly wouldnt be getting in to debt.

  19. No I couldn't, but it's just chump change to some.
