I have reentered the sales field again after 5 years in operations. My old position was down sized and the management remembers me as a great salesperson. I got an additional degree to get out of sales. Even though I disllike it, I am good at sales and have been and currently am the top sales person for my region of my company. But I have always been a little unhappy at being in sales. My father is a sales person too, so I guess it runs in the family.

  1. I'd keep it long enough to look for another job that would be more satisfying.  You should definitely look for something more enjoyable.  Even if you are good at it, if you don't enjoy it, you will get burned out and generally be unhappy.  I don't think you should stick with a profession you don't like in the long run, but it's OK to do it until you can find something else.
