  1. Absolutely not.  A brick shelter needs a footing to distribute the load of the structure.  The footing is poured wider than the wall it supports to use more of the ground to bear the weight.  In addition, the footing is poured level, which allows the brick to be laid with an even mortar bed.  If you want to do this once, and only once, pour a footing.  Good luck.

  2. Small brick shelter- -1.5 meters cubed meaning about 5 feet to the side- have to translate to old English yet. Slab-less construction known, dig down below frost line -about 2 feet- a trench about 2 bricks wide, fill almost to top with gravel, then set first layer of brick on top of gravel. First layer is sideways and ground is 1/2 up side of brick. level this layer, then put up short side walls single layer about a meter/3-4 feet high, set top plate for roof and use truss instead of ridge pole and rafter for roof frame to reduce side thrust at top of wall. Reinforce corners with a double row of brick, don't have more than 6 feet of wall without reinforcing double pillar for single layer of brick. . . .

  3. Yes you can...but without a concrete slab, or footer, it won't last very long.  It will eventually crumble at the joints.  You should at least pour a small footer.  Depending on where you are in the country, you'll have to determine where the frost line is (the deepest extent to which the ground freezes during the winter.)  Again, depending on where you are in the country, or world, you could end up having to dig pretty deep if you're in a cold winter region.  Our earth shifts, even where a

1.5  x 1.5 x 1.5 shelter is concerned.  A footer will create a solid platform.  You'd be better off creating concrete forms with 2x8's and pouring a 6 inch thick slab of concrete.

  4. you dont need a slab but you do need a footer...2 different things here...

  5. Won't last more than a year... that would be kinda dangerous... need cement
