Could you mix it up?

What would happen if you were to place a common boa in with a royal python? Would they fight or simply ignore each other. Would it make a difference on the s*x of the snakes? Could you place two different species of boa in together, say a common boa and a Brazilian rainbow boa?

I don't have any snakes to put together, I am just curious. So if it would end in tears, do not tell me I am cruel because I am not about to stick a load of snakes together. Surely they must livee together in the wild though?

No you shouldn't.  Many people will tell you that you can and that theyv'e done it and that they've had no problems with it.  Yes there is always an exception to the rule but all in all don't do it.

  3. NO

A: you should never mix species of reptile http://www.reptileexpert.co.uk/IsItSafeT...

B: snakes are solitary animals only coming together to breed confining them together like this will make both snakes very stressed resulting in illness fighting and possible death

in the wild snakes simply aviod other snakes as much as possible if they come into contact they can simply escape by moving away (which is impossible in the confines of a vivarium). so on all counts its a bad idea

  4. I dont think you should put different species of snake 2gether, i think most snakes like being along, i have 2 corn snakes and i think thats 1 of the rare breeds that will get on ok 2gether as long as they are the same size and have enough room in the tank.
