Yeah I really want to go to australia again, i have great memories from when i was younger, i was wondering if you could recommend me some great sea spots so i can finally surf somwhere that isn't in the grey miserable rainy area that is cornwall (UK) :P

Also if possibly can you give me the season where it is slightly cooler, i know that this is typical British moaning, but im not fond of really really hot places!

Thanks so much for your help!

  1. southern shore of Australia about 3000kl long lots of surf & cold like you pommy's like at this time of year as it is winter but it will be hot there in a few months

  2. Byron Bay in new south wales. A beautiful spot with a great attitude. Beautiful beaches and nice shopping strip.

  3. You can't go past the Gold coast and the 40 kilometre stretch of sand sea and surf. All the top surfers in the world come here. or come from here. Avoid december January February for summer and crowds. but here they surf all year around we are in Winter now the water temperature is 19 cecius only the brave go in for a swim at the moment but plenty of surfers with their wet suits on. Our beaches are netted way out to sea so safer from Sharks than other areas of Australia. Our air temperatures now for winter are 22 celcius day time but we have had really cold nights down to 5 the days have been sunny. Most of our rain fall is at night and thats not often.

  4. If you want something that's not too hot then Coffs Harbour is about as far North as you'd want to go.  So there's Coffs Harbour; central NSW coast; Newcastle has a really good reputation; around the Sydney area. Lots of spots on the Victorian south coast especially famed Bell's Beach.  Have to say the weather at Bell's can sometimes be as dismal as Cornwall, but the surfs great.

  5. NSW Coast - Port Stephens area, very good sea spots. Lots of beaches to choose from.  Only about 3 hours north of Sydney.

  6. If you want to stay near Sydney try anywhere on the Northern Beaches,Eastern Suburbs or the Cronulla area
