  1. Sumatran rhinoceros...

direct human intervention for example captive breeding also has not done much to revive the species..

  2. The White Tigers that Sigfried and Roy have single handily brought from the less than a hundred world wide to almost 450 worldwide and the numbers are climbing rapidly. Almost all are in captivity but at least they are recovering.

  3. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of the Giant Panda. They're on the endangered species list, and unfortunately, don't particularly like to mate....my friend works at a zoo where they have to show the pandas "p**n" to get them going. Sounds ridiculous, but she swears its the truth.

  4. Siberian Tiger .

  5. heres a list of endangered things.....

    http://www.earthsendangered.com/list.asp

  6. I think the decimating impact of climate change on the Arctic Circle and what that will mean for polar bears, harp seals, ring seals, countless migratory birds and even narwhal's chances to survive is a good example.

This is an issue tied DIRECTLY to how we are treating the plant.  And it goes well beyond wiping out a single species, but an entire ecosystem.

The link below does a great job of explaining just what we are doing to the planet, that harms these amazing animals so severally.

  7. there are many...to name a few...the Asiatic Lion...-only 350 are left ...in a small remote are  called the gir forest....(hence they are also known as gir lions)...efforts are goin on to protect the species....the Bengal Tiger....1000 ARE LEFT...BUT THE TRUTH IS THERE ARE MORE DOMESTIC TIGERS IN THE USA....then they are in wild in INDIA....
