Not sure about the bus, but I live in Crystal Palace, and couldn't resist answering!

I do know that there are trains every 15 mins or so from both Victoria, and London Bridge. Or you can easily get buses from Brixton (Victoria Line) or Streatham.

If you would really like to go by bus, I think you can get one from Bishopsgate to London Bridge, and then you can get the bus or train from London Bridge to the mighty Palace.
