Could you put a movie into a 80gb ipod classic?

I have a 80GB ipod classic and I was wondering if i could put like an entire movie in. If so about how much space would it take?

  2. Well, it all depends on what you're talking about here.

    In the case of movies you download from iTunes (by the way I love their movie store) it's a simple case of syncing with your iTunes. if you want movies from a DVD you'll need a program to Rip that movie and compress to a manageable size and file format that is compatible with iPod.

    If you're using a mac my suggestion is Handbrake. A great simple to use tool that even has options to optimize the video for iPods. The other solution for Windows based PCs is Fox DVD to iPod/MP4 Video Rip/Convert.

    Either way you just convert the movie through the tool, stick the file into iTunes and sync the movies through the iPod menu interface in the iTunes.

  3. yea there is space on the 80gb classic for about 100 hours of video. i have the same one. it takes up about 1gb or less. you have plenty of room on the ipod
