Could you talk to me about the FAFSA form ?

How much would that help me to get finacial aid ? How do they decide how much aid I recieve ?

  1. Completing the FAFSA will generate an EFC figure that your financial aid office will use to determine your overall aid eligibility at your school.  Depending on how low that figures is will determine if you are eligible for Pell grants or other forms of need-based aid.  

    All students are eligible for Stafford loans as well, but these are determined by your dependency status (dependent vs independent) and your year in school.  

    Complete the form and then talk to your aid office about your overall eligibility.  All we can do here is guess without seeing the paperwork.


  2. If you want ANY federal aid, the FAFSA form is required. How much you receive is based on what you put in the form. What you are eligible is mainly based income and financial information. Other factors are where you live, age and household size.
