Could you tell me what kind of insect this is?

And do they sting cuz I have them everywhere out on my deck.Oh It is missing its head Sorry but it had a white ring around its neck.

Looks like a Cicada to me. I never heard they stung. Those are those bugs that sit in trees and make buzzing noises when it's real hot out.

i think its a sawfly, does it make a cricket sound? if yeah, then its a caddict or something like that
