Public safety is our main consideration. We would ask that people do not bring glass or bottles to the event and would encourage families to make use of the viewing area at Inverleith Park. We would ask everybody to follow the safety advice given by police officers and stewards.

The wildly exuberant finale to the Edinburgh International Festival, the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert is an intoxicating and exciting mix of wonderful live music performed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and a breathtaking choreographed fireworks display set against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh's historic castle.

This immensely popular event last year attracted an audience of over 250,000 people viewing from vantage points across the capital and is the biggest annual event of its kind in Europe. Join us for a night to remember!

There are a variety of great places to watch the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert, even if you don't have a ticket for the Ross Theatre or Princes Street Gardens.

In fact in 2007, the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert attracted an audience of over 250,000 people, viewing from vantage points across the capital.

Princes Street and the Inverleith Park Family Viewing Area are all popular spots to enjoy the Fireworks Concert as well as many other parts of the city.

Calton Hill is sometimes a popular viewing spot. This year, some restoration and repair work is taking place, so good views are very limited. It is advisable to view the spectacle from either Princes Street, where new speakers mean that you can hear the music or the Bank of Scotland Family Viewing Area at Inverleith Park.
