If you send someone an email can they tell your ip, if so how?

  1. If they know how, it's easy.

    If they don't know how, it's still easy, it's just expensive!

    All internet traffic leaves "trails" through the various servers that packets pass through.  There are numerous tools to track these...


  2. Not that I know off, from normal email hosting providers, No! But if you owned your own email account, like me@mydomain.com and had access to the Control Panal, then you can from your CP.

  4. I'm pretty sure there is a way because my dad does it for detective work.  Ummm...you should be able to check the security or properties of the e-mail somewhere in your e-mail account.  Sorry I don't know what kind of e-mail that you have so it's a little harder for me.
