Could you use a hollowed out cork as a bowl for smoking or is there bad side effects from smoking from a cork?

Well cork comes from cork oak trees, so it seems like it's just a type of wood? the only thing I would be worried about is it burning?

You could but it would taste bad and is too soft. It would burn along with your tobacco. Pipe bowls are usually made out of hardwood like walnut or maple. The harder the wood the better it smokes.

I doubt they've tested cork effects on the human body.

you should smoke out of those shells that are shaped as pipes. those are totally tubular

It would probably burn. Not taste good.
