Could you wear a dress with leggings in the vatican?

i know you are not supposed to have dresses or skirts above the knee, but if i wore leggings under a dress would that be appropriate?

your flesh has to be covered ... leggings cover flesh therefore I don't see a problem ... of course if you have a longer skirt or dress then maybe that would be the day to wear it

just make sure you're dressed "demurely" ... for instance don't wear a low-cut top or if you do cover up with a shawl, take a headscarf with you

yeah but u have to have your shoulders covered i got chased out by a priest for wearing a strappy top

Wear what they stipulate. It's a matter of respect... surely you won't suffer too badly for wearing a slightly longer skirt for 3 hours out of your life.
