You can write a paragraph as long as you want it to be :)

Tell what you like about the city : restaurants, museums, parks, stores, unusual places... anything you want !

Thanks !

  1. I like the memory of the "Catcher in the Rye" novel by J.D. Salinger. After I read that book, I felt like I just spent my summer there.

If my memory serves me right, there are two main museums in that area and Holden Caufield (the protagonist) likes the one near the skating rink. Though, you have to walk for like 15 minutes to get there from the skating rink.

There is also a place where you can leave your luggage, near the train station. If you want to get a nice hotel, I doubt that you will find one if you're not willing to pay thousands of dollars. Holden stayed in this one cheap hotel where he got beat up by the bell boy. You can also find lots of Clubs in NY... some where the big guys hang-out and some where the bums and whores thrive.

I think the place near the Central park is pretty nice too. I wonder where the fishes really go during winter, though. Do they stay there and breathe through there pores or get picked up by a truck? IDK.

    >> I suggest that you read it, Jordi. The Catcher in The Rye is about this 16-year old boy who is wandering around NY so you get to explore NY yourself. Home Alone 2 (movie), I think, is also set in NY.

If you want, I can send you my "catcher in the rye" book. Though, I will need money and I'm kinda out of that right now. : ) Maybe you could buy it in your local bookstore. It's all over the place! Hmm... the prices range from 2- 6 dollars; it depends on the publication.

Good luck with your book! I'll e-mail you in WDC on Saturday, when I get the time. I'm still sick right now and I'm kinda falling of this swivel chair I'm sitting on. hahaha.

My next e-mail will contain the ideas I owe you.

    Till next we meet!

  2. With enough smarts or money, one can succeed in New York. Every other city by comparison is slow. There are more occasions and places to amuse oneself, no matter how one wants to do it, in New York than anywhere else. And all its virtues compound each other: the reason more accomplished people go to New York is that accomplished people seek out the company of their peers, so simply by being in contact with the city and those in it, one's own standards are raised.
