..not mention telling him NOT to put his hands in his pockets.. He's great, I think he's cool, but his advisers must still be on Ken Livingstone's payroll.

  1. god i was laughing my head off when i saw him do all the things youve mentioned. He looked like a school boy in front his year in assembly or something.

  2. I was too worried that the bus would be late to notice Boris

Edit . Boris said after the closing ceremony:

"PING PONG IS COMING HOME" Referring to the UK  Olympics, this is the wittiest  remark I can remember by any politician

  3. Well he had definitely had a haircut - it was much longer last week - but he should have done his suit up and walked with his hands by his sides or behind his back.

  4. What Haz says is true, he is one of the great unironed!!!!

  5. I suspect that his bad decorum is calculated to appeal to a certain demographic. Although I don't believe everything I'm told, the general feeling in political and media circles is that his 'upper class English twit' facade is a complete act, and that he is a very canny man.

I totally agree that internationally, he doesn't set the best example, but in the other hand, he might have gone out there with a shaved head, shell-suit, half-drunk can of Tenants Supersonic, and Rottweiler on a chain-link lead, with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth (Boris, not the Rotty). Then he could have head-butted the head of Olympic Commission and claim that the **** looked at him funny . . .

  6. I ought to be ashamed and I suppose I kind of am but I also quite liked his out of place toff act.

    Very eccentric. Very British.

  7. Can someone teach boris common sense all old etonions have that disease. head in the bloody clouds 24/7. the man thinks teaching classics to londons yobbos will make a difference. still hes better than Ken the Krook.

  8. I like him just the way he is.

  9. As an American I can honestly say Someone with Boris's hair due and sloppy dress style would NOT get elected in my country.

However I think he is very cool and I would vote for him.

  10. Oh, come on, he wouldn't be our Boris if they did that! Today's performance was pure genius!

Look, this crypto-fascist regime has been using the Olympics for pure propaganda, and everything has been calculated to the nano-second, even the grass sprayed green. People have been turfed out of their homes, businesses ruined, all to ensure a perfect ceremony, then along comes this shambling old Etonian Honey monster, going "Oh, gosh, a flag, yes, um, very good, which way up does it go, what?"

    Priceless!

  11. nooo boris is awesome, he doesnt go by anyones rules but his own. viva la boris!!

  12. Lol I thought the same thing! And did you see the other man trying to untangle the flag! Haha!

  13. Leave Boris alone, he is a diamond.

  14. He's quite unique, I think we should be rather proud of him. It must take quite an effort to appear such a walking shambles as he does!

  15. I completely agree. Of all the people in the whole d**n stadium he was obviously the scruffiest.

  16. He deliberately cultivates the 'shambolic' demeanour. I don't doubt it is born out of truth but lets not forget politics really is showbiz for ugly people. That is his image and it serves him well. He has cross-party appeal because of it.

It's a bit like the posher the family the more scruffy the kids are dressed. Middle England is awash with kids called Caecilius and Euphemia clothed in bobbly hand-knitted cardies. They are the Boris' of our future.  :-)

Boris isnt going to remove his uniform just because he is on an I nternational stage. He is no fool...
