  1. Yeah, I'm sure that'd be a memorable experience.

Hey, look, some poison ivy. I bet it tastes great in my mouth..

I haven't done drugs, never will, but I don't think a leaf and tobacco's the same thing, haha.

  2. For the same reason you don't just eat cheese for a headache instead of taking the paracetamol.

Certain compounds have the ability to affect our bodies in different ways, and some plants may contain one or more of these compounds, while others do not.

In addition, there is also the matter of concentration. Just because a plant contains some compound, doesn't necessarily mean it contains it in sufficient quantities to affect us.

  3. Pot contains THC and tobacco contains nicotine, which attach to receptor sites in the brain. There are also receptors for opium and salvia. In each case, the chemical in the plant you're smoking fools the body into thinking it's a natural chemical messenger called a neurotransmitter that the body makes. That's what makes you high, the brain being fooled into thinking that lots of the neurotransmitter has been released. Most plants don't contain chemicals that do this. The ones that do usually do because they've evolved it as a poison or insecticide to kill animals or insects that want to eat them! In fact, farmers spray nicotine, the chemical in cigarettes, on plants to kill bugs.

  4. only some types of plant will give u the high. but its not the leave u smoke its the stem also know as the nug.

  5. Haha if it worked like that, EVERYONE would be abusing it.
