Council Rock North men’s volleyball team defeats Abington in a sweep on Tuesday
The Council Rock North men’s volleyball team did not fail to impress the crowd as it competed in a match against Abington on Tuesday.
The competition that ensued between the two teams was thrilling to watch. However, all the thrill and excitement that was created at the Council Rock North gym was sparked up by the host team. Abington could not do much as the Indians handed out a defeat
to the Ghosts by winning three back-to-back sets.
Not only did the Indians manage to win Tuesday’s match, they won it by leaving no doubt of their superiority over Abington. As the Indians were declared victors, the scoreboard translated their flawless win over the Ghosts by displaying the following set
scores: 25-19, 25-15 and 25-16.
The overall season record of the Indians with Tuesday’s win has come up to two victories in all. In order to make these wins, the Indians have not suffered any defeat so far. If the Suburban One League record of the Indians is looked at than it shows the
same statistics: two victories accomplished after undergoing no loss at all.
As compared to the Indians, the ghosts have not been able to pull up an impressive performance in both the season play or in the SOL matches as well. The number of losses that they have been able to tally in the season so far are two. These have been dealt
to the Ghosts while they have not been able to secure even one single win.
Likewise, the SOL statistics of the Ghosts show a mirror image of their overall season record with wins totalling zero and losses adding up to a figure of two.
The first set of the match started off with both Abington and CR North contesting hard for the lead. The two teams battled on for a while but the Indians were able to pull up ahead. Once they got themselves the advantage, it was not hard for the Indians
to stay in control of the game.
The Ghosts just kept catching up with the Indians all through the set. Consequently, the Indians were able to seal the deal over the Ghosts by taking the first set of the match at 25-19.
After winning the first set of the game, the Indians did not relax in the second. They came out strong over the Ghosts early and kept the pressure on their rivals all through. As the second set of the match came to its close, the Indians had won it at 25-15.
The same story was repeated in the third set of the game which was grabbed by the Indians almost effortlessly at 25-16.
Next in line for the Indians is a match against Pennsbury that is scheduled to be played on Monday.
