Count Of Limonade expected to honour O'Brien duo again
Since debuting in May 2012, Count Of Limonade has been at the top of his game. With his four epic performances, the bay colt has earned great prestige to his trainer, A. P. O’Brien, and rider, J. P. O’Brien, (father and son). Today, he is keen to give a
new boost to the legendary duo’s esteem by winning the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Premier Nursery Handicap at Listowel racecourse.
The high-rated Irish contest is set to go over the heavy track of 1 mile. A total of nine runners are going to compete for the cash prize worth €19,500.
Count Of Limonade has prepared well for this competition. During the last couple of weeks, he underwent extensive drills to build up on the momentum that he had gained by winning the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Nursery at Killarney.
Hopefully, this work-out will pay the young runner off in today’s marathon. Overall, the two-year-old novice colt possesses an impressive track record. On June 8, he nicely finished as the runner-up in Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 2yo Maiden.
The son of Duke Of Marmalade out of Hoity Toity broke his maiden with the title of Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden that went down at Roscommon on July 9. He superbly won that race by beating the hot favourite rival, Daymooma, with the
big margin of 3¼ lengths.
The ardent sprinter went on to finish third in Ebel Ali Stables & Racecourse Anglesey Stakes (Group 3) at Curragh. Then, he registered an outstanding triumph at Killarney while being the 5-4 favourite.
What an awesome record! In the light of these impressive stats, we must have no doubt to believe that Count Of Limonade will show a winning performance today, beating all of his mighty competitors confidently.
So this is going to be another fantastic day for the O'Brien duo who has been serving the sport fans since long. The legendary father and his star son have made numerous iconic marks. Count Of Limonade is just a minor example of their talent.
Let us be ready to enjoy a heated clash. Good luck to the colt.
