Count Of Limonade likely to thrive in the Jebel Ali Stables and Racecourse Anglesey Stakes (Group 3)
The A. P. O’Brien trained bay colt, Count Of Limonade, is likely to notch up first position in the Jebel Ali Stables & Racecourse Anglesey Stakes (Group 3) by capitalising on the winning impetus produced by his last victory.
The high-voltage race over 6 furlongs and 63 yards will be held at Curragh racecourse on Sunday, July 22. The action is scheduled to begin at 2:45 (GMT).
On the heavy track, the two-year-old novice runner will show his guts against five worthy rivals for the prize money worth €33,800. The Racing Post has regarded him as the second strongest runner with 96 points.
The young colt gained immense confidence by breaking his maiden in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden over 7 furlongs at Roscommon racecourse on July 9, 2012. He experienced soft to heavy track over there.
Prior to this, the brilliant son of Duke Of Marmalade, out of mare Hoity Toity, grabbed the runner-up position in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 2YO Maiden over 7 furlongs at Leopardstown that was a purely heavy track.
These two outstanding performances under J. P. O’Brien have boosted up his morale to a great extent. This time, the colt will be ridden by Seamie Heffernan. Thus, it is expected that Count Of Limonade will likely build on his winning momentum that he brings into this race.
Grafelli also looks to be a strong candidate on the card. The J. S. Bolger trained bay colt debuted with 5th position at Curragh on July 1, 2012.
He moved forward to break his maiden in the very next outing on July 11. That was the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Colts & Geldings), held on the 6-furlong heavy track of Naas.
These two pleasant exposures will lend a great hand to Grafelli in today’s mega marathon. Thus, there will be witnessed a fierce battle at Curragh.
A large number of the sport lovers will make up to the venue to enjoy the thrill-loaded event. Let us see who of the two worthy colts carries the day. Good luck to the both.
