Counter Strike 1.6 display problem (lines across screen)?

Question

since today whenever i open up my cs and start playing i see these lines going across my screen and wen i turn and move a lot i see them even more. its like a big fuzzy line going up n down the screen very slowly. if any1 has had this problem please help..ive had cs for years and never encountered this.
