Counting House to grab the seasonal debut in the Ladbrokespoker.Com Handicap Hurdle at Towcester
Towcester will become home for the Class 4 Ladbrokespoker.Com Handicap Hurdle over three miles on Monday, 26th March. The race that has the purse worth £2, 534 has assembled the lineup of nine four-year and older thoroughbreds who will compete
today.
Counting House, King’s Best’s nine-year-old chestnut gelding out of mare Inforapenny, is being expected to race through the wire before any of the other participants can make it because he won the welcoming challenge of the 2011 season too.
Counting House won the Racing UK For Your Pub Call 0870 351 8834 Handicap Hurdle on 25th March at Newbury over three miles and half a furlong. The victory was made possible by the partnership of Jason Maguire and Counting House, leading the track
by eight lengths.
Even though the opening race did translate in a victory, the rest were missed out, all the next three starts were failures.
If he gets to repeat the pattern again or not, will disclose today and this time he should also put in an effort of not only making an impression at the beginning of the season but reflecting it in the rest of the starts too.
Another entry on the lineup who has stamped a race at Towcester during the previous season is Chac Du Cadran, Passing Sale’s six-year-old bay gelding out of mare L ‘Indienne.
His second start of the career was in the Betfair.Com Novices’ Hurdle on 3rd November at Towcester over two miles and five furlongs. He won the race with Tom Messenger riding and had the 13/8 favourite of the race, Desert Joe, following closely
behind, after staying adrift by 3 ¼ lengths.
Making it to the third position was Winds And Waves.
This was the first and last victory that Chac Du Cadran has bagged through the five career starts.
He has stepped into the new season but both the chances that he got were doomed to be missed. However, none ended with a terrible outcome as he was placed in both, first scoring second and then third.
Counting House is being expected to make the most out of the chance after staying winless in the last three starts and Chac Du Cadran too needs to break loose from the monotonous defeats.
