I'm traveling to Calgary, AB, Canada tomorrow and I have a lot of coins (like, around $30 worth) all loose... is there any major stores that have machines like Coinstar (machine that charges 8.9 cents per dollar, but gives you a voucher for your coins so you can use it at the store or get cash for it at the register)? Or does anybody know the denominations the coin rolls have to be to exchange at a Canadian bank?

  1. Give it to their President or to anyone who looks nicely dressed  ...they'll be glad to have some money.

  2. i dont know about calgary, but here in vancouver you can just throw a bunch of change into the machine when your taking the bus, or go to a corner store theyll be happy to take your change

  3. You probably don't have enough to bother rolling, most stores would be happy to turn them into paper money for you. There are very few of those machines around. To roll them, you would need:

    25 x $2 = $50

    25 x $1 = $25

    40 x 25 cents =$10

    50 x 10 cents =$5

    40 x 5 cents = $2

    50 x 1 cent = 50 cents

  4. Im a resident of ontario but i live in btish columbia right now. man jus walk in any store and theyll take it. change is useful in any shop botha. good luck!

  5. In Canada if you have enough for a roll ,you are supposed to roll it.The bank will not take a bag ,you will have to roll it if you have enough for a roll.Stores will take it as long as it`s not to much..

Here are the coin rolls denomination's

    1 cent-50 coins =$0.50

    5 cents-40 coins=$2.0

    10 cents-50 coins=$5.00

    25cents-40 coins=$10.00

    $1-25coins=$25.00

    $2-25 coins=$50.00
