  1. it's kinda complicated. there is more than one way to do it. i suggest you buy a book on the subject. basically you get a 'count' which is basically broken down into a number 1-20(ish) by some math algorithm.  and that corresponds to the odds of getting a face card on the next turn... but i can't remember the details....

  2. Counting cards is not all that complex, in fact it is actually quite simple.

The most comon system is the Hi-Lo count. Start a new shoe with a count of Zero. Assign a value of +1 to 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, and -1 to tens and aces. Everything else is 0, or neutral. As the cards are played, add or subtract these counts to get the running count. A positive total indicates the deck is rich in tens and aces. Calculate the true count by  dividing the running count by the number of decks left to be played. The higher the number the better the deck for the player.

However, appying this information is a different subject. You must understand the blackjack rule variations and practice money management. You must play perfect basic strategy and know how, when and what amount to bet!

Here is a link that explains it all.

And the movie 21 was great, but it is a fictionalized, dramatized version of an incident that happened many years ago, before the rules of the game were changed to prevent it!

    Good Luck!

  3. ummm counting cards like to get an advantage the cheaters way? or to get to 21? you dont make much sense... but anyways

the cheating counting.... takes a ton of practice and its all about % and what cards have been delt out already... however its very hard when your dealing with multi deck stacks...

to get to 21.... the face cards(ie J,Q,K) are 10, numerical cards are the value of the card... and the A can either be 1 or 10.

  4. ur screwed

  5. higher cards are worth less points, lower cards worth more points. when your points get high you bet high. there is an actual point system that is assigned to each #. you'll have to buy the book. i don't know what it's called but it has to do with beating black jack so i'm sure you could find it online or at your local bookstore.

  6. Rent the movie "21" then check out the extra features and it will lay it all out for you.

  7. Chances are you can't do it.

I can't count cards past the first few hands.

if you plan on every uses this in a casino, you'll get killed.

    yes, killed.

You have to be very smart and good with numbers. I'm not saying you are stupid, but I really doubt you can do it at the rate a casino plays it out.

I've been able to count 7 rounds at max.

  8. black jack the number cards are numbers and face cards are 10 and Ace can be 1 or 11 and the higher number is the high cared

  9. Card counting is not necessarily difficult, however, it takes a lot of practice to get it right in the casino.  If you play perfect basic strategy, and if you count correctly and bet correctly with the count, you can give yourself a 1% advantage over the casino.  Its not much, but it is the only way you can legally give yourself a positive advantage.
